Abandoned Warehouse

Inspired by the breathtaking visuals of the TV series “Last of Us” I set out to create this scene as my final term at Pearl Academy. I wanted to make a 3D environment that you can run around and explore as much as possible about environment art creation. I had so much fun while making it and I hope you like it!

Story:-
“After a global pandemic destroyed the civilization a decade has passed and you enter the warehouse as a war prisoner to fight against the leader of the militia controlling the region. You have to survive by any means necessary”

The key areas that I initially wanted to put more focus on were asset modularity and reuse, learning Substance Painter and lighting in Unreal Engine. During this project, I worked on many aspects, which I will dive deeper into in the article below.

Most of the assets in the scene are made by me from scratch. To save time, I used some props, foliage, and smaller dressing elements from Quixel Megascans.

Software used -
Notion, Pureref, Blender, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Unreal Engine 5, Quixel Megascans, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects.
